Just because we can’t see the mountain clearly doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Just because circumstances cloud our vision doesn’t mean God has changed. He is more constant than a mountain and He can be trusted.

Let your Light so shine…

Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify the Father in heaven.”

That’s what I want my life to be… to do.  I want my eyes and my smile to shine of Jesus.  I want to do good works so that people get a good look at the Father and give Him glory.

Once, many moons ago,  Ross Parsley was leading worship in Colorado and he mentioned the fact that to magnify means to make something bigger.  It was a simple statement, but it stuck with me.  I thought about that.  I pondered it.  So… if I want to magnify the Lord, what does that mean?

Well, let’s say I am the magnifying glass.  The glass is not the focal point – whatever you are looking at is the point.  The glass is just a means to see something better.  It’s important, but not the focus.  The time that the glass gets attention is if it’s dirty and therefore you can’t see what you’re focusing on very well.

Lord, I want to have clean hands and a pure heart.  I want people to see past me and see You more clearly.  I want whatever I do and say and all my attitudes to glorify You and bring You joy.  I want to make You smile.
